# Install Notify Me

> Install Back in stock alerts, Notify me and finish the setup guide.

Install Notify Me from the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/notify-me-back-in-stock-2). After install, open the app from **Apps** in Shopify admin. The home dashboard shows a setup guide until the first steps are done.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install the app">
    Add **Back in stock alerts, Notify me** to your store, then open Notify Me from **Apps**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate the app embed">
    In the setup guide, choose **Enable**. That opens the theme editor for your **published** theme. Turn on **Notify Me — Back in stock**, then save. Back in the app, choose **Refresh status**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish the Back in stock widget">
    Choose **Create back in stock**, set the trigger and popup, then **Publish**. Saving a draft is not enough for the storefront.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Optional: connect your domain">
    Alerts send from `alerts@notify.hustlepops.com` until you add a custom domain in **Settings**. See [Sending domain](/notify-me/sending-domain).

  Shopify development stores cannot send alert emails. You can still publish widgets and collect subscribers. The app shows a banner when sending is blocked.
