A custom sending domain lets alerts come from your brand, for example [email protected], instead of [email protected]. Notify Me still sends the email. You add DNS records so inboxes can trust the domain.
You cannot change the sender email until the domain is verified. Until then, alerts keep using the default Notify Me sender.

Where to find it

Open Settings in the Notify Me left nav. The email section has Sent from Name, Add a custom domain, and View DNS records after you register a domain.

Enter the domain only (for example yourstore.com). Do not enter an email address, URL, or www.
Shopify development stores cannot register a custom domain or send alert emails.

How it works

  1. You register the domain in Settings.
  2. You add a DKIM TXT record and a bounce CNAME at your domain provider.
  3. You choose Check verification until the domain is verified.
  4. You set Sent from Name and the local part of the sender email.
